More often then not, one will rise in the morning to overcast skies lingering like a canopy over the Pacific Northwest. As you open your front door, typically you are greeted by a soaked through morning paper that has spent it’s morning in a genesis rain storm, only to be consoled by your hot cup of coffee in hand.
But, like a wedding gift hand wrapped from Mother Nature herself, that day would not be today. In fact, the morning of Naomi Case’s (hours away from becoming Naomi Polansky) wedding day would be the furthest weather day north of typical, today the weather would be stunning! I could have sworn we were somewhere in the magnificent English countryside. Naomi & Eddy couldn’t have asked for a better day to celebrate the 1st day of their lives forever.
Since our bride wanted us to emphasize the romance and candid moments throughout their day, we decided that the best approach was to shoot from our heart. Something that wasn’t all that hard to do since the intense love and connection that Naomi & Eddy had for each other was obvious to everyone around them. All we had to do was step back and watch the scenes unfold before us and capture those moments.
Here are a few favorite shots taken shortly after she got dressed.
Her beautiful Casablanca lilies & roses bouquet was created by a good friend and talented floral designer Tami Wilson.
The Whispering Firs Bed & Breakfast had these rustic decor around that we used to take photos of her shoes.
Naomi loves to laugh and I don’t think I’ve ever had a bride laugh and giggle and smile as much as she did…Her joy was contagious!
Enjoying a quiet moment with her equally gorgeous sister and matron of honor, Karen.
As dad escorted her to Eddy for their first look , everyone watching from the balcony, tried so hard to hold back the tears.
I so adore this shot. This reminds me of a magnificent English countryside.
Eddy would not let go of his beautiful bride.
A quiet moment with the adorable Peyton.
The bed & breakfast’s owner (a hunter) shot & killed this 1,000+ lb. bear on an Alaskan hunting trip. They stuffed it and had it displayed inside the Bed & Breakfast. The bride requested a shot with her new husband and the bear.
First Dance with dad.
Soaking in the father’s love.
